This week is theological MMA (mixed martial arts). Kline answered three main objections to the principles of merit, simple justice, and the covenant of works. His arguments are strong and forceful, but Lee and Chris press them. Like last week, this also involves the definition of grace. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

If you appreciate Meredith Kline’s theology, this is a must-listen episode. He always talked about law and gospel, works and grace. Since this is so closely tied to justification, he would look for opportunities to work these things into lectures and conversations. Take notes and learn some of the most important hermeneutical principles!

This week Lee and Chris discuss the other side of the eschatological sanctions: the curse sanction. We also discuss judgment and what it means to know good and evil. This subject can get very heavy – even depressing – but we make sure to bring it back to the gospel. The good news is that we do not bear the curse or the final judgment because Jesus has borne the curse for us!

This is one of our most interesting conversations, yet. First, we pick back up with why glorification is necessary. Next, we talk about technology and culture. Finally, we talk about the glorification God would have clothed upon Adam and Eve’s mega-family if they had not fallen into sin.
